Among the most notable buildings of the small Siurana is the church of Santa Maria. It is Romanesque and dates from the 12th century. Unfortunately we found it closed when we visited it. There are also remains of the Arab era in the region such as the castle of the wadi Almira Alemoni.
You will find a parking lot about 200 meters from the entrance of the town and from there you can perch on the rocks from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the mountains and the swamp at your feet. Today, February 2010, it seems that they are building a viewpoint right next to the parking lot and it is a bit dangerous to look out there.
The best thing in Siurana, anyway, is to enjoy its natural landscape and its curious rock formations like the famous Queen Mora jump or the high chair. Also, Siurana is a privileged place for climbers.
