Tour carried out in May 2010 from the Pont de la Farga car park to the Redó station through the Llong station. Some snow still starting at 2,000 meters
We arrived Friday at midnight and, tired, decided to rest to enjoy the mountains the next day.
From Erill la Vall we go to Boí where the house of the Aigüestortes National Park and from where the taxis leave towards the heart of the natural area. We had a couple of ideas in mind: a snowshoe crossing to the shelter of Ventosa and Calvell and an approach through the valley to the Estany Llong that probably did not need rackets at this time of year.
We decided to go downtown to ask about the state of the routes and the forecast weather. The staff is very friendly and convinced us to enter the Boí Valley and reach the Estany Llong. It seemed that there would be rains during most of the day and the crossing to the shelter of Ventosa and Calvell would be surrounded by clouds and would hinder the visibility of the mountains. On the other hand, the journey through the Boí Valley towards Estany Llong is done through a narrow valley that would most likely leave the clouds aside and we would enjoy more.
